Future Plan
Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman established full Immigration and Passport Directorate in 1973. In the construction of Bangabandhu's golden Bangladesh, his privileged daughter, the honorable Prime Minister, is already working tirelessly to make Bangladesh a developed and prosperous country for the implementation of Vision 2021 and 2041. As part of the implementation of Hon'ble Prime Minister's Vision 2, he emphasized on simplifying the immigration and passport system.
With the dedicated efforts of the honorable Prime Minister, Machine Readable Passport (MRP) and Machine Readable Visa (MRV) projects have already been successfully implemented in Bangladesh in 2010. He said the most manpower of my country is my people. Therefore, he used more manpower as a tool of manpower to ensure proper citizen facilities at home and abroad and introduced a state-of-the-art e-passport and automated border management in Bangladesh in the area of free movement and electoral process.
With the introduction of e-passport system with modern technology, the government has taken another step forward in building Smart Bangladesh.

Regional Passport Office, Kurigram has taken the following future plans to implement e-passport and automated border control management:
a) To create more opportunities for the general public through regular communication through social media;

b) Introducing queue-management systems to bring benefits to office service delivery management; c) Adopting various plans with special emphasis on increasing the use of modern technology to complete passport service activities at a faster time;
d) 'Passport Citizen Rights; this office is always committed to serving people nationally and internationally by providing e-passports with the motto 'Sarvathak Sevai Angikar'.

e) Giving more importance/vigilance to the implementation of the National Cleanliness Action Plan of the Government.
